Internship Week 4 final week

What I am most thankful for in your internship experience is the experiences of the workplace, the different people that I got to know, and the new programs and skills that I learned.
How I might continue my internship experiences beyond the scope of the HTHMA internship is by volunteering for the Media Arts Center San Diego and helping out. The ideas, skills, connections and that will I bring back to the rest of my life is to maybe come back and start a music program or make videos and promos for companies. I will continue working with my internship beyond January of 2013.

Internship Week 3

  1. The art of film. This represents how film can be in the form of art.
  1. My project is going very well right now. The main challenge I faced during this project was getting one of it's key components done in time. I have learned how to use iMovie on the iPhone and I also tried enhancing my skills in Final Cut Pro. What I am going to do to ensure a successful completion of this project is to just get it done.
  1. I looked at Ryan Perez's blog and I noticed some similarities between our internships. our challenges were transportation which was a bit of a problem for both of us. Also our fears were our mentors being unhappy with us. the main differences between us is our projects and where we intern.

The biggest challenge I faced was get use to working at 8 to 4. I have never worked that long before.

I definitely see myself growing as a person and changing my myself into a more hardworking person.

How has or do you see your internship changing the way you consider that paths your future will take?
My internship has made me think a little bit about what I would like to do later on in life.

What limitations have you recognized in yourself that you want to overcome, or use this experience to help you over come?
One limitation that I wanted to overcome was to get out of my comfort zone and just move on with the internship.

How do you see your role at your internship?
I see my role at my internship is too show what we do at the media arts center.

What lessons or experiences at your internship will you bring back to school to help you to further improve in your academics?
I don't really know yet, I have to think about that.

What has surprised you most while working at your internship?
What surprised me the most while working at my internship was the different interns that I met there.

Choose a past question that you didnot use last week and answer it.

First Week of Intership

Describe the project you'll do at internship, including the skills and technology you need to do it and what you hope your project looks like as a final product.
The project that I am mainly doing is called Mobile Stories which is a project based on video journalism. Basically for this project I have to make a video on a either current or past events in the news or something about me and what I do. I think I will do my video on school shootings or shooting sprees in general since that has been a big topic last year and early this year with the Taft High School shooting.

What are you most surprised by during your first week of internship and why?
What I was most surprised by during my first week of internship was the other interns here in the Media Arts Center San Diego, because I knew I wan't going to be the only intern but i wasn't expecting this much. There are four other interns here excluding myself, three from King Chavez and one from the Art Institute in Mission Valley.
